Data Engineer – Remote
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and distributed data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in big data technologies, cloud platforms, and data warehousing solutions. This is a fully remote, C2C contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Build and optimize data architectures, data lakes, and data warehouses.

Develop batch and real-time data processing solutions.

Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Implement data governance, data quality, and security best practices.

Optimize performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.

Work with DevOps teams to deploy and manage cloud-based data infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.

Strong proficiency in Python / Scala / Java.

Expertise in SQL and database design principles.

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.

Experience with cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP.

Knowledge of data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.

Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong understanding of data modeling and distributed systems.
